Robert Joy, born in Blackpool England, lived the majority of his younger years in Preston England. He moved in his late 20s to reside in wonderful Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) for 7 years. Here he was employed as Senior Traffic Safety Officer, presenting traffic safety programs on Television & Radio on a regular basis.

Eventually, he moved on to Perth Western Australia where he studied psychology at Edith Cowan University and developed Personal Power Development, a personal development course on the Power within each of us.

He was appointed Civil Marriage Celebrant and also Justice of the Peace and became a very popular and much sought after Celebrant. He conducted ceremonies in Bali and in many cities of Australia, a country he still calls home.

Robert moved to America where he lived in Southern California and Southern Utah. He studied and obtained a Ph.D in Religion.
